St. Jude Parish constructed a new church in the 1980’s.  The basement of the church was left unfinished, and was intended to be used as a social hall for fellowship after services, and for church community events.  The Monroe Partnership designed the social hall, which includes sitting areas, a dance floor, a commercial kitchen, restrooms and other support spaces.  The design features the statue of St. Jude, a raised ceiling at the central space to enhance the sense of height and openness, and decorative and durable finishes.
